About

The advisory layer for Bhutan's development.

Omeya is a Bhutanese advisory firm working at the intersection of the built environment, climate and capital. Bhutan's development runs on decisions about cost, value, finance and risk. Omeya exists to give those decisions dedicated local advisory: the layer that engineering and design firms do not offer, delivered from within Bhutan rather than flown in.

The principal

Lungten Tshering

BE Civil Engineering, Royal University of Bhutan · MSc Quantity Surveying, Kingston University London (RICS and CIOB accredited) · Chevening Scholar

Lungten Tshering has spent his career putting numbers on Bhutan: land rates, compensation frameworks and auction policy now in use across the country's institutions, grounded by seven years on the client side of one of its largest financial institutions. After consulting in London, he returned to establish Omeya, and is working toward becoming Bhutan's first chartered quantity surveyor.

The wider bench of Bhutanese and international specialists is introduced when the work requires it.
